Network Participation & Acknowledgement

Welcome to the Bankable Network!

This invitation-only network brings together a curated group of professionals who support growth-stage businesses through expertise, insight, and collaboration. By joining, you are becoming part of an ecosystem designed to help scaleups access not just capital, but the capability required to grow intelligently.

This Participation & Acknowledgement (“Agreement”) outlines how we operate together. It governs the relationship between:

Bankable Ventures Alberta Ltd. (“Bankable”)

and

the individual professional and/or their firm (“Network Member”).

It is accepted electronically as part of Bankable’s network onboarding process. By selecting “I Agree” or completing Bankable’s network partner application, you agree to be legally bound by the terms below.

1. Purpose of the Bankable Network

The Bankable Network exists to support businesses within the Bankable ecosystem through trusted professional services, education, and collaboration.

Bankable may introduce clients to Network Members based on identified needs during financing, advisory, or growth-related engagements.

These introductions are intended to create value for the client and opportunities for Network Members.

2. Referrals and Engagement Expectations

Bankable will provide referrals to Network Members where appropriate.

The Network Member acknowledges that:

  • it is their responsibility to engage, qualify, and close any referrals received
  • all referrals should be contacted promptly and handled professionally
  • Bankable does not guarantee a minimum number of referrals

The level of engagement, responsiveness, and contribution within the Network may influence the frequency and quality of referrals over time.

3. No Referral Fees or Compensation

Bankable does not accept and does not provide:

  • referral fees
  • commissions
  • kickbacks
  • compensation in kind

in connection with Network referrals.

The Network Member agrees not to offer any such compensation to Bankable or its brokers.

4. Reciprocity

The Network is built on mutual contribution.

Network Members are encouraged to refer:

  • businesses requiring financing
  • companies in scale-up mode
  • opportunities requiring advisory or exit support

to Bankable where appropriate.

5. BBX (Bankable Business Exchange) Participation

Upon joining the Bankable Network, the Network Member will be:

  • provided access to BBX (Bankable Business Exchange)
  • assigned a public-facing profile within the platform
  • identified as a verified Bankable Network Member

BBX is a private ecosystem designed to facilitate:

  • introductions
  • collaboration
  • knowledge sharing
  • community engagement

Participation within BBX is expected to be professional, constructive, and value-driven.

6. Content Contribution Requirement

As part of the Network, Members are expected to contribute a minimum of four (4) educational contributions per year (one per quarter).

These contributions may include:

  • industry insights
  • market intelligence
  • process expertise
  • case-based learnings

Content must be:

  • original and self-generated
  • educational in nature
  • relevant to growth-stage businesses

Content may be delivered in any format (written, video, audio, presentation, etc.), however:

  • AI-generated content is not permitted.
  • Bankable does not create or produce content on behalf of Network Members.

7. Initial Contribution

Upon onboarding, the Network Member will be invited to participate in a virtual podcast session/interview with Bankable’s VP of Marketing & Education, Dr. Alex Bruton.

This session will serve as the Member’s first annual contribution and introduction to the Bankable Community.

8. Community Engagement and Advocacy

Network Members are encouraged to:

  • engage with the Bankable Community within BBX
  • contribute to discussions and offer guidance where appropriate
  • support fellow Network Members
  • attend in-person and virtual events hosted by Bankable or the Network

Members are also encouraged to act as advocates of Bankable in both digital and in-person settings, to the extent they are comfortable.

9. Network Composition and Exclusivity

Bankable seeks to maintain a high-quality and balanced network.

As such:

  • no more than approximately five (5) professionals per specialization per region or city will be included
  • continued participation is based on engagement, contribution, and alignment

10. Membership Fees and Structure

Membership supports the growth and maintenance of the Bankable ecosystem, including BBX, events, and platform development.

Fee structure:

  • Individual Membership (within a corporation): $100/month
  • Corporate Membership: $250/month
  • Student/Alumni (within 5 years of graduation): $0/month for 12 months

All new members receive a 90-day onboarding period at $0.

Payments are processed through Stripe.

11. Confidentiality and Privacy

Network Members may receive introductions or limited client information through Bankable.

The Member agrees that:

  • all client information is confidential
  • information will only be used for the purpose of supporting the client
  • information will not be shared externally without consent

BBX participation does not permit the sharing of sensitive financial or confidential client data.

12. Use of AI and Data

Network Members may be included in Bankable’s internal AI system to support matching between client needs and service providers.

The Member acknowledges that:

  • their professional profile and service offerings may be used for matching purposes
  • such data is stored within Bankable’s secure systems
  • no data is used to train external AI models

Members may request updates or removal of their data at any time.

13. Professional Conduct

Network Members are expected to always operate with professionalism and integrity.

Grounds for concern include:

  • misrepresentation of services
  • failure to engage with referrals
  • reputational risk to Bankable
  • harassment or misconduct toward clients or members

14. Removal and Termination

Bankable reserves the right to remove a Network Member at its discretion with written notice.

This may include:

  • non-compliance with this Agreement
  • lack of engagement (following warning)
  • reputational risk or harm
  • misconduct or abuse
  • fraudulent behavior or misrepresentation
  • cessation of business activities

15. No Obligation

Participation in the Bankable Network does not guarantee:

  • a specific number of referrals
  • revenue or engagement outcomes

16. Electronic Acceptance

By selecting “I Agree” and completing the onboarding application, the Network Member:

  • confirms they have read and understood this Agreement
  • agrees to participate in accordance with these principles
  • acknowledges this as a binding agreement with Bankable Ventures Alberta Ltd.
